Using the Facebook API

Working on my current project called code name Y, which is going to be the future of social search has made utilizing Facebook API’s a top priority!  When going through the proper channels of using their api to the fullest has allowed me and my follower workers to understand the propose in using it correctly.

When many users use facebook to auto connect they allow data of their likes and interest to be used for data mining. With our project, we are taking that data and doing some wonderful things that will get the user to interact with each other because of the api we are developing from this new form of data collecting! Think about it this way, when you like something we can take that data in, bring something similar to you that may peak you interested in liking something else. This allow for a new way for user to search information base upon you group of friends data and many more!

Thanks to API’s we can now mold information to make the users life simple and easy without bothering them! This is the future of search and I cant wait to real this next year!

 

Launching a Start-Up

This presentation about start-up companies pitching their ideas was great and sad at the same time. I like the fact how this was an opportunity to present your idea to one of the many great people in the tech industry, showcase your talent in presenting your product and possibly getting funding. The thing I didn’t like was how you got raped if you were nervous, not prepared, etc.

I mean it makes sense at some point, but not all the time. Think about it, if your giving a once in lifetime chance for funding, you have to be ready, no matter what the cost is! That was the goal of you starting your own business was to make yourself you own boss. The way a lot of these guys presenting themselves showcase they were not ready, or so used to reading slides, they forgot the passion they needed to sale their own project!

Many of the entrepreneurs did a awesome job getting their company out with the allotted 60 secs, but alot of them were so nervous that they couldn’t comprehend the point of there pitch. I’ve learned that you must keep your passion for your company strong and not fear what lies the ahead.

It surprised me about some of the techniques discussed in the show thru redd it and digg.com. Learning from this made me want to push my content thru sites likes these to get more people interested in my site as well.

I created this website to showcase advancements in digital media and as well to show off my work as a Digital Guru with a behind the scenes view. This is something I’ve wanted to create for a while and now I have the chance to do it.

In the coming off days look forward to an advance view on topics and creations that I feel shows great achievements. Google+ Going Strong

Now that Google+ has over 20 millions user, is it safe to say its the new social media trend? With Facebook being known as the new “myspace” many online social user after flocking and waiting patience for more Google+ invites.

Being the new social guy on the market has it benefits and its weakness. So far the way I use Google+ plus is for a better blogging outlet and to keep a tighter circle of friends and professionals. Leaving the fear of over crowded from Facebook in the past.

Creating huddles and video chating with my closes of friends has allowed an almost zen like feel to Google+ experience. Weakness is the surge of users flocking from one social network to another for test drive being confused in Google way of being social. In short, Google+ has added gaming to line up of things to do and the battle between Facebook has only just begun!
